Air Conditioning Tune-up, and Safety Inspection

Trained 72 Degrees technicians will perform a 60-90 minute precision tune-up including the following 20 operations:

  1. Blower Motor – measure amperage and check voltage for proper operation
  2. Thermostat – test for proper operation and level
  3. Clean existing air filter (as needed, if applicable)
  4. Bearings – inspect for wear and lubricate (if applicable)
  5. Check indoor coil (if accessible)
  6. Condensate Drain – flush
  7. Inspect condenser coil
  8. Refrigerant – monitor operating pressures
  9. Safety Devices – inspect for proper operation
  10. Electrical Disconnect Box – inspect for proper rating and safe installation
  11. Electrical Wiring – inspect and tighten connections
  12. Test/inspect contactors for burned, pitted contacts
  13. Inspect electrical for exposed wiring
  14. Inspect and test capacitors
  15. Inspect fan blade
  16. Check condenser coil
  17. Inspect service valves for proper operation
  18. Measure supply/return temperature differential
  19. Inspect duct work for energy loss
  20. Compressor – monitor, measure amperage draw and voltage, check wiring connections

Furnace Tune-Up, Cleaning and Safety Inspection

  1. Thermostat – test for proper operation and level
  2. Inspect for combustible material around furnace
  3. Ignition System – test for safe and proper operation
  4. Exhaust System – test for proper/safe venting
  5. Measure supply/return temperature differential
  6. Safety & Control Circuits – test for proper operation
  7. Inspect and adjust fan belt tension (if applicable)
  8. Clean existing air filter (as needed, if applicable)
  9. Lubricate blower motor, inspect blower wheel
  10. Furnace Burner – clean and inspect (brush and vacuum)
  11. Clean furnace exterior
  12. HydroScan™ inspection and certification of heat exchanger for dangerous cracks and wear
  13. Gas Pressure – measure and adjust for peak efficiency
  14. Blower Motor – measure amperage draw and voltage for proper operation
  15. Electrical Wiring – inspect and tighten connections
  16. Combustion Vents – clean and inspect (upper and lower)
  17. Gas Lines – check for leaks
