Now, That's One Tough Duct!

Matthew Stewart - Friday, October 28, 2011

It's true. Our fiberglass free ductwork is the toughest duct you will find, not to mention, the healthiest. You see a fiberglass free ductwork system not only eliminates the use of formaldehyde that is used in most fiberglass ducts, but it also reduces the growth of mildew and particles. The result? A healthier home for you and your family. Oh, and did we mention, that fiberglass free ducts also contain heavier insulation, making you and your wallet happy. Are You In the Zone?

Matthew Stewart - Thursday, October 20, 2011
The heating and cooling zone that is...if you haven't heard of it, then maybe you should. Zoning your home for efficient heating and cooling is as practical these days as programmable thermostats.

What is zoning? Well, it is an improvement to your home's heating and cooling system. Essentially, it allows you, the homeowner, to be in control of the temperatures throughout your home, rather than vice versa. You can set the 'zone' for that particular area of the home to higher or lower based on the needs of the area. For instance, the nursery of a baby's room may need to stay warmer, while you may want a home gym space to feel cooler. Is there a spare bedroom that never gets used? Perfect. You can keep that room at a different temperature than an area of the house that does get used frequently. The best part? A heating and cooling zoning system will save you energy and money. No need to do costly construction or installation either. Click here to learn if a zoning heating and cooling system is right for you and your home.

How to Choose the Right Contractor for You

Matthew Stewart - Thursday, October 06, 2011
Before you hire a contractor to repair or replace your heating and air conditioninig system, it's important to choose one that's right for you. Here are some tips on how to choose the right contractor.

Be sure to check that your contractor is licensed with a current, up-to-date license. Choosing a local contractor that serves your area is another way to choose a qualified provider. Also, by hiring a local contractor, you can ask to speak to some of their customers or ask for references of previous customers. You'll also want to get a written guarantee from your contractor. This will help you establish any product or service warranties they may offer. A written contract should also detail what your contractor will include for the price during their service call.

Choosing the right contractor to install and maintain your heating and air conditioning equipment will ensure your family's home is safe and comfortable--no matter what the weather brings. Click here to learn more about how to choose the right contractor for you.
